AUGUSTA, Maine (WGME) -- The branch of state government that oversees marijuana in Maine is under investigation.
Republican Representative David Boyer says the Government Oversight Committee voted unanimously to investigate Maine’s Office of Cannabis Policy.
This comes after Anya Trundy, a member of Maine’s Department of Administrative and Financial Services, admitted to intentionally not delivering an annual cannabis report last year.
She says she did so to avoid adding "flames to the fire" during last year's legislative negotiations over cannabis policy. Although, it's still not clear what's in the report that might have done that.

Lawmakers have said, regardless of the motivation, that withholding the report was inappropriate.
