On his podcast, Joe Rogan shared that Vice President Kamala Harris's team had discussed a possible interview with him but wanted to impose restrictions on certain topics, including avoiding marijuana legalization.
Rogan mentioned that while his team engaged in multiple conversations with Harris's campaign, the interview ultimately didn't take place. He noted that Harris's team requested he travel to Washington, D.C., for a one-hour sit-down, which also included a list of topics Harris preferred to avoid, such as marijuana reform.
Rogan speculated that Harris’s desire to avoid discussing marijuana legalization might stem from her record as a prosecutor, where she oversaw cases that led to the incarceration of people for marijuana offenses.
Rogan expressed that he found these restrictions frustrating, emphasizing that he was open to discussing any topic Harris wanted.
Rogan contrasted his interest in interviewing Harris with his recent sit-down with President-elect Trump, a three-hour conversation that gained substantial viewership on YouTube.
He remarked that Harris is a "bad candidate" in unscripted situations and criticized her campaign as "chaotic," suggesting that her strength lies in delivering pre-rehearsed speeches rather than off-the-cuff dialogue.
