Teenagers were removed from a movie screening of Bob Marley: One Love after they were suspected of smoking marijuana in the theater. The incident occurred at the Guararapes Shopping Center in Joboatao dos Guararapes, Brazil. Moviegoers smelled smoke and called the Military Police, who burst into the cinema and approached the boys in question. A video shared on social media shows the authorities telling the teens to leave before slapping them as they exited. Marley, who was an advocate for the legalization of marijuana, died of a rare type of skin cancer called acral lentiginous melanoma in 1981 at age 36. The biographical film about the life of reggae icon Bob Marley was released on February 14, 2024.
