This ordinance aims to maintain peace by penalizing excessive noise with civil citations.
Additionally, the board will consider reducing the **cannabis business tax** for cultivation and nursery operations by 40% for 2025 and 35% for 2026. This tax reduction could significantly alleviate financial pressure on cannabis businesses.
The board will also vote on an agreement with **Redwood Community Services** to provide housing and support to former foster youth, aged 18–25, focusing on education and affordable housing.
Finally, the supervisors will debate the purchase of a **commercial drone system** for the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The drone, costing nearly $25,000, would aid in crime investigation and emergency situations.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. and can be viewed online, with public comments accepted via email or phone.
